This Privacy Policy explains how the Blockchain Association of Cameroon (BAC) collects, uses and protects personal information submitted through this website. Information we collect
Contact form submissions: name, email address, subject and message.
Membership applications: name, contact details, areas of expertise, and stated interest in BAC.
Newsletter subscriptions: email address and, optionally, language preference.
Learner accounts: email address, and the learning activity you choose to track (subscriptions, workshop pages opened, completions you declare).
Certified learner account (optional, only with your explicit consent): legal name, date of birth, gender, phone number, postal address, ID document number, employer, preferred payment method and Mobile Money number or account name, and a photograph. We never store a bank card number or a scan of your ID document.
Community activity: articles, comments and likes you publish, shown publicly under your display name (never your legal name), with a certified-account badge if applicable; and, only if you opt in, your display name and counts on the public leaderboards.
How we use this information
To respond to inquiries and process membership applications.
To send newsletters and event invitations to subscribers who opted in.
To maintain your learner account and, if you provide a certified-account file, to verify your identity before issuing a certificate or title and to contact you about your path, exams and payments.
Certified-account details are encrypted before storage. You can edit them, withdraw your consent (which deletes the file and photograph immediately) or delete your account at any time from your personal space.
To award a "Verified" badge, authorised BAC administrators may open your name, date of birth, ID document number and photograph to compare them with your ID document or with you in person. Each time a file is opened is recorded in an audit log (who and when, never the content). The badge is removed if you change those details or withdraw consent.
We do not sell personal information to third parties.
