Layer-0 Developer Academy

Training blockchain infrastructure engineers, not blockchain users

A protocol engineering curriculum designed by the Blockchain Association of Cameroon: from the first network packet to the architecture of a national infrastructure.

The Academy covers five Layer-0 ecosystems — Polkadot, Cosmos, Avalanche, Celestia and the interoperability that links them — organised into five competency levels, from complete beginner to architect. Every concept descends to an executable lab, and every workshop carries its security angle.

Engineering principle

Do not teach developers only how to use blockchain. Teach them how blockchain itself works, how blockchain infrastructure is engineered, and how to build the next generation of these systems.

That rule deliberately rules out blockchain education's most common format — a contract tutorial followed by a testnet deployment. A contract is written at Level 1 of the curriculum, largely to show what a contract can never guarantee. The rest of the programme goes one layer down: into the runtime, the consensus, the network and the operations.

What this programme is, and what it is not

One framework serving several uses at once, without diluting itself into any of them.

An open learning platform

The catalogue, prerequisites and briefs are public. A lone developer can follow a path with no enrolment, entirely on their own.

An instructor-led workshop framework

Every workshop follows the same template: objectives, guided lab, independent lab, security challenge, marking scheme. A trained instructor can run one they did not write.

A university curriculum

The competency graph and exit criteria are designed to slot into an existing degree structure rather than compete with it.

A certification pathway

Certifications that are all majority-practical. None is obtainable by questionnaire alone.

A technical lab foundation

Three environments and a multichain testnet, where participants deploy, break, repair and monitor with no financial risk.

What it is not

Not a trading programme, not token-creation training, not a tutorial catalogue. No workshop covers speculation or investment.

Contribute to the programme

Instructors, technical reviewers, universities, protocol ecosystems and institutions: the task force and the catalogue are open to contribution.
